PAR is the padel rating system Padel Society built for Korea. From 0.0 to 7.0 — every result you play becomes your rating.

The tiers and score bands match the Playus app exactly. Bronze, Silver and Gold each split again into low, mid and high.

Beginner0.0 – 0.9Brand new to padel. You're learning grips, strokes, and the basic rules for serving and returning. Balls off the glass still feel strange, but the fun of keeping a rally alive is starting to land.

The bandeja makes overheads repeatable, and moving up and back as a pair becomes second nature. You understand that managing errors decides matches.

You shape spin and direction deliberately, and read an opponent's weakness to attack it. Top-half of an amateur draw.

Platinum5.5 – 5.9Elite. Competitive at national level, executing every shot reliably and dictating the tempo and flow of the match.

Note: your initial self-selected PAR tops out at Gold (4.0). Anything above that comes only from tournament results or verification by centre staff, and once you're registered your score adjusts automatically from your results.
HOW IT WORKS
How the rating is set
Three questions is all it takes to start. After that, what happens on court does the talking.
1. Start with a self-assessment
Answer three questions in the Playus app — how long you've played, your match experience, and any background in other racket sports — and you get a starting PAR. Self-selection tops out at Gold (4.0); anything above that comes only from tournament results or verification by centre staff. After that your score adjusts automatically from your results.
2. Results move the number
Every centre league, tournament and social match that gets recorded feeds into your PAR. How much it moves depends on the rating of the opponents you beat — so who you beat matters more than simply winning.
3. Verified ratings (Provisional removed)
Meet the verification conditions — official tournament results, for example — and the Provisional tag comes off, making your rating official. Centre staff can only adjust in steps of 0.5 and must give a stated reason; every change is logged.
4. How divisions are set
PAR is what decides your division in PS tournaments and leagues. Bronze, Silver, Gold — you enter the division that matches your rating, and move up as your rating rises.

Frequently asked questions
The questions we get most often about the rating.
Q.I don't have a PAR rating yet — can I still enter a tournament?
Yes. You can enter without one. Leave the PAR field on the entry form blank and tell us in the notes how long you've played and what matches you've had, and we'll seed you into the right division. Doing the self-assessment in the Playus app first makes entry quicker.
Q.My rating doesn't seem to match how I actually play.
Speak to the centre staff. Ratings are only ever adjusted in steps of 0.5 with a stated reason, and every change is logged. Keep playing and your results will pull the rating towards your real level anyway.
Q.Is my PAR recognised at other centres?
Yes. PAR is a single standard shared across the whole Padel Society network. Your rating belongs to your Playus account, so you enter leagues and tournaments at the same level wherever you play.
Q.I've played tennis and other racket sports. Does that count?
Yes. The self-assessment asks about other racket sports alongside your padel experience, and a background there gives you a higher starting rating (self-selection still caps at Gold 4.0). From there your results adjust it to your real level.
